Russ and I have been drinking Isagenix protein shakes for breakfast for a few years now, and most days, we love the creamy goodness that starts our day on a great nutritional foot. But then there are days like today. A Saturday in the fall, when the air is crisp. We woke up with a hanker for something warm, toothy, and infused with cinnamon. So today were made some yummy cinnamon pronuts. 5 ingredients, no junk, SUPER good!!
1) 1 cup vanilla protein powder (we only use Isagenix protein in our house)
2) 1/4 cup coconut flour
3) 1 tsp baking powder
4) 2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
5) 1/2-1 tsp cinnamon powder (depending on your preference, we use 1 tsp)
Spoon batter into silicone donut pan (these will stick in any other kind of pan)
325 for 10-15 minutes, until set and mostly firm - ours browned just a tad (check out the photo)
If you want, you can brush on melted coconut oil or butter and sprinkle with a raw sugar/cinnamon combo or coconut sugar/cinnamon combo, or any other topping that suits your fancy!
